Our Story
​Next Step Connect was founded by Bronwyn Wood in January 2024 after discovering a distinct lack of support for people who had recently received housing.
Many of the newly homed were not informed on available services they could access, were without basic household items and were isolated through lack of community access.
Through the establishment of a network of volunteers, community groups and other supporters, Next Step Connect now provides people with items they need to create a home, access to services and to become a valuable member of their community.
Once a month we hold a community lunch which is an important way for people to overcome loneliness and isolation, as well as make new friends in a welcoming social gathering.
Of course, we couldn't do any of this without our amazing volunteers and donors.
